Important information deserves more than a quick cleanup or another place to store it. A strong document system should make it easier to find what you need, understand what you have, and know what to do with new information when it arrives.
How we think
A useful system should make decisions clearer, not leave you relying on memory. We create defined places, naming rules, and practical guidance so the system makes sense when you use it today and when you return to it later.
Our founder
Marigel Cabales founded Structured Docs after years of grants, compliance, documentation, research, and systems work. Her approach is analytical, careful, and grounded in the belief that structure should reduce cognitive load rather than create more of it.
That experience shaped a practical approach to document systems: clear structure, thoughtful handling, documented decisions, and systems designed to remain usable after the project is complete.
The Structured Docs CARE Standard
CARE defines what a finished document system should make possible: Clearly Placed, Appropriately Accessible, Responsibly Retained, and Easily Maintained. Gather, Map, Build, and Maintain describes how we do the work. CARE is the standard we use to evaluate the result.
What completion means
The work is not finished just because the files look organized. You should understand the system, know where new information belongs, and have clear guidance for keeping it working after the project ends.
